JLArchitecture were approached by the homeowner in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire to help redesign their new home and to create new spaces suitable for their family living.

The property required a major transformation to bring to current standards and JLArchitecture collaborated very closely with the clients to revitalise and to give the property a new vision.

The scheme involved reimagining the spaces on all levels of the property and to develop a new architectural appearance to give the property a contemporary appearance whilst respecting the local vernacular designs so as to retain some element of character to the neighbourhood.

The scheme at The Causeway involves a double storey rear extension, conversion of the garage to form a new study, shower and utility room, replacing the front porch with a new zinc cladded porch, and internal reconfigurations.

Working with a team of different designers and specialists, the project came to a successful end.
