Grace Mews, Beckenham

The project at Grace Mews comprised of a single storey rear extension added to an end terrace town house.  For a young growing family, space was becoming limited and a design was created to allow open sense of space whilst maximising natural daylight into the new extension.  As part of the refurbishment, the kitchen layout was reconfigured to provide a central kitchen island.  To maximise natural light large flat glass roof light was installed and set of large bifold doors were fitted to maximise views, light and access to the garden.

The extension was constructed using prefabricated structural insulated panels (SIPS) allowing construction to be completed within a very short period compared to a traditional build and minimising site debris and dust.

The 3m kitchen extension was applied under Permitted Development and approved by Bromley council planning department.
